America, Revolutionary Love: Valarie Kaur

8x10 Art Print

Limited edition design in collaboration with Valarie Kaur, founder of the Revolutionary Love Project.

Proceeds from the sale of this print go to support the Revolutionary Love Project, an organization working to reclaim love as a force for justice. The Revolutionary Love Project works to produce stories, tools, curricula, conferences, films, TV moments, and mass mobilizations that equip and inspire people to practice the ethic of love. In this era of enormous rage, Revolutionary Love is the call of our times.

Design inspired by a Sikh prayer for America, written by author, activist, lawyer and the founder of the Revolutionary Love Project, Valarie Kaur:

In our tears and agony, we hold our children close and confront the truth: The future is dark.

But my faith dares me to ask:

What if this darkness is not the darkness of the tomb, but the darkness of the womb?

What if our America is not dead but a country still waiting to be born? What if the story of America is one long labor?

Remember the wisdom of the midwife:

“Breathe,” she says. Then: “Push.”

“In the name of the Divine within us and around us, we find everlasting optimism. Within your will, may there be grace for all of humanity.”
