Slow down and paint.

A daily portal back to yourself.

Kimothy Joy is a watercolor artist and author whose daily painting practice changed the course of her life. Her books, kits, and circles share that practice with women who are ready to slow down, notice, and make something with their hands. She is also a forever student of wise women’s words and worlds which is reflected in her HarperCollins published books That’s What She Said: Wise Words from Influential Women, Extraordinary Wing Women: True Stories of Life-Altering, World-Changing Sisterhood, and more.

Creativity is a way back to yourself.

A decade ago, Kimothy started a daily painting ritual with no plan beyond curiosity. It became three HarperCollins books, a community of women around the world, and a career she never expected. The practice came first. Everything else followed.

Her work has been featured in Glamour, Teen Vogue, HuffPost, The Washington Post, and Refinery29, and she has collaborated with Gucci, Hello Sunshine, Melinda French Gates, the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, and She's the First. She is represented by CAA.

Today she lives in Colorado with her family and shares the practice through Slow Down and Paint, the Focus Pocus circle, and a monthly letter. Small, thoughtful, potent.
